Sprint Centro upgrade adds "My Location" and more

Finally, Sprint Centro users will be able to take advantage of location approximation. Palm has released the 1.07 version upgrade for Sprint Centros. Combined with a new version of Google maps, you will now be able to approximate your location to assist with Google lookups, etc.

The update also brings some speed and usability enhancements to VersaMail, Bluetooth, IM, Sprint TV, and will allow PRL updates over the air (yeah - about time for that one).

Check out the official Palm blog for the announcement, and the support site for instructions and the downloads. You'll be able to use either hotsync via USB or a memory card to carry out the upgrade.

While the iPhone is a great device, and garners all kinds of attention, it's market share has decreased in the first quarter of 2008. At the same time, both Palm and RIM have seen increased market share. Read my post on TreoCentral for details and links.
